A fantastic site for looking up and researching helicopter action during the Vietnam war. It is good to see some of the most decorated Pilots of the war have donated pictures and stories. Well done and keep adding to the site. Mick Stewart.

I went to Vietnam in March 1967. Joined Co B, 86th Cbt Engr Bn at Phu Loi, then to Bearcat. Sometime during this tour i made friends with a RICHARD L. PARNELL. I have been hunting Richard for years and i may be close now. I hope someone here may know how i can get in touch with him. I've made several attempts for phone numbers of guys i think from the 68th who may know him. Frans VandenBroek, if you read this i know you know Richard. I was the Operations NCO for the company and was chosen to take part in the Engineer Book that Richard worked on, but the 1sgt didn't want me to go so i stayed as the Oper NCO. The Reunion president i also tried to contac-did get an email to him, no answer yet. I will email the last address for Richard tonight hopefully to get a response. I still have the issues of the Engineer Book Richard gave to me when he came back down to Bearcat. Thanks to all of you, for the great work you did. we built a lot of the helipads at Bearcat in 67. 240th i think was there. Thank you all very much, jerry (606)348-5421
