Comments: I like your website, especially the carved 7/1 cross sabers wood plaque. I use to be a Big Ugly scout, flew with CPT Kirk, Drewry, Lt1 Welch & Clark, and CW2 Robinson.

Comments: Fantastic site. I was a member of the 125th ATC serving in Phu Bai, from September 1970 to September 1971. You have awakened memories that have been dormant far too long. I wish I had discovered this site before the loss of the original guestbook.

Comments: Found your site and was amazed, the photo titled "Night Hawk UH-1H, D Trp, 17th Cav, Da Nang, '72" was crewed by a friend of mine named Wayne Walters, I flew with Wayne in this helicopter as a gunner many times. I have a photo of Wayne and this helicopter, its not colored, sorry. I was not in the 17th, I was assigned to the 571st MI accross from the Danang Hotel, Down town My photo was taken at the south end of Danang Airfield in summer of 1972, Man wahat a long time ago. If anyone know the where abouts of Wayne, I would love to know. He was from Whitefish MT. Glad you made it home and God Bless our fallen brothers

Comments: I was combat medic D Trp 1/9 blue Plt. "HELL" was 9/14/69 when half my honorable compatriots were slain in a severe ambush. First casualty I ran to help was Sgt Scullion,(listed as receiving the Natl Medal of Honor posthumously). I received a Bronze Star w V for Valor, & purple heart (shot Rt shldr); on a separate occasion I rec'd Army commend Medal w V and second purple heart. The GI Bill put me through law school & the VA recently rated me 80 percent "service connected" disabil. Still I daily remember those I could not save (see movie "the Gaurdian" w Kevin Costner) so I proudly wear tatoos memorializing them. Never let us Forget so many who sacrificed lives in the name of "Liberty" RDJ
