My step dad served with B troop, 3/17 "Stogies" I believe around 1967-1968. His name was Leroy Laine and he flew scouts. He recently passed away this past year due to pancreatic cancer. I just wanted to pass the information on, and was hoping to hear from anyone that may have served/flown with him.

I was a crew chief on a UH1B huey gun ship all of 1967 it had 40 rockets on it and A yellow square on the door for "B" troop, and gun fighter on the front. "B" troop only had one ship with 48 rockets at that time all the other helicopters had mini guns or M60's and M5's. My Piolet name was Mr. Zahn and the right door gunner name was Barber. A crashed in helicopter and it was destroyed. I was just wondering If the picture in one of your photos could be my ship. The last three numbers on the tail were 982.

I have been browsing the internet and thought to visit a website that my brother (Ed Lemp)had established years ago. He was in Vietnam 1965-66. He was among the first troops to go to Vietnam via aircraft carrier. Ed passed in April of 2009. I miss him dearly and was just wondering what happened to his website that he worked on. He was a "camera bug" and took many photos wherever he went and I was hoping that his legacy was still available for all to see.
Thank you for any help you can give me to find his website (whatever may be left of it).
