The pic you have of the crew chief on the pilons is of (Sp) Tutssahara.
He liked to get on the pilons so he could shot under the tail boom. I rode right door and preferred getting out on the skids.

I was with the Trp from 8/67 to 7/68, went home early because of death in the family. I was with the light scouts assigned to OH-23 867 and after Tet in May of 68 my little bird was 379.
Went to Germany and later Ft. Benning and caught up with ol' 867 on a Korean airfield in 1973. Retired E-6 at Ft Campbell, Ky 11/1977. I was tail ship went Smokey went down near Hobo Woods.
