My twin brother and I were 1 year old when we moved to MW in'63. My Dad was a retired AF Captain/pilot and went to work for Southern Airways as an instructor. I grew up knowing Ft. Wolters well. As a military dependent we utilized all the services on base. Dad took us to just about all the stage fields one time or another. Your website brings back fond memories.

I served in Viet Nam July, 1971 - July 15th, 1972
February - 1972 thru July 1972 served @ An Son/Lane Field,
worked in the hanger, and helped build a swimming pool (yep) out of sand bags and sheets of plastics Great Fireworks show complements of 129th Huey and cobra pilots on 4th of July...

The info on the 125th is great. I was a company clerk in 1968-69 and Major William Sharp was the company commander. He was a top-notch leader.

I am currently in contact with a few guys from my time in Bien Hoa.

Great! I arrived in Tuy Hoa around April 1971 about two weeks after the revetment crash that killed CWO Meade. I was assigned as the Maintenance Officer (Thankless Job! The CH-47 819 in the picture ended up a hanger queen and almost killed me. 528 wasn't much better. Amazing how I still remember the tail numbers at age 70. I had the pleasure of moving the unit to Lane Army Heliport under the 7/17 CAV after we turned over Tuy Hoa over to the VC. I do not always look at the Viet Nam War with good thoughts, but seeing the pictures reminded me of a great unit and a lot of good memories.

I was attached to the 180th ASHC at Tuy Hoa from 1967 thru 1969. I went through your webpage and did not see anything about our unit at Tuy Hoa during the years I was assigned there. Do you, or do you know ,anyone that might have info or photos from that period? I was crew and company armorer while stationed there. Our compound was behind the village on the beach at that time. Hope you can come up with something.

I flew gunner in the 180th from 7-67 until 7-68.Extended and came back to fly guns in the 61st AHC at LZ English until 5-1969
