Comments: I served with "D" Trp 3/5 Cav from May 1971 to March 1972. I had the pleasure of seeing Captain Jimmy V. Dobbs when he served at Ft. Polk LA. I again saw Major Jimmy V. Dobbs at Ft. Rucker, Al whe I attended flight school from 1978-1979. He swore me in as a WO1 when I graduated. I again visited with him when I was at Eglin AFB in 1981.

If anyone is interested, American Huey 369 will be flying their namesake Nam Medevac UH-1 (70-16369) from Grissom AFB to Vegas, last week in February. We will be stopping in Branson, MO, Amarillo, TX and Flagstaff, AZ on the way out. The aircraft will be on display in the Heritage section of the Heilo-Expo, first week in March. Stops on the way back are still undetermined.

Comments: WOW! I was in D,17th Cav, 11th cag from Aug, 72 to 11 Feb, 73. I arived just as we were moving off the mountin to gunfighter west. Crewed the maint ac 68-16762 with Gary Barago. I flew several missions with Rich Neely and WO1 Ebby to name a few. I was in one of the aircraft pictured in the flyover. I discovered a second cousin also stationed with D troop, Paul Canfield. I helped clean up after the Christmas day rocket attack which damaged the maint hangar. I also used to run the move projector next to the maint hooch. I retiried in 94 after 5 year active and 18 with the Michigan Army Guard.
