Comments: I was a crewchief/doorgunner on UH-1 388 in 71-72 in 48th Assault Helicopter Bluestars. Flew into Tan My many times for fuel. Brings back a lot of memories both good and some not good at all. Thanks for the site. :!cool:

Comments: I too was stationed at Tuy Hoa with the 180th ASHC. I arrived in June of 1971. As a SP-5 I was given my own maintenance team but like you it was boring. I put in for flight platoon and was immediately an FE. I was assigned 008 as my helicopter.
