Very interesting site. Been doing research on my brother WO1 Stanley J. Miller Jr. 281st AHC - KIA April 27, 1970. Found some good information on your site, trying to track down his unit patches. Thanks for your dedication to this information!

Grandpa was a commissioned officer combat veteran of the U.S.Army Field Artillery Pacific Theater New Guinea to the Philippines.
Grandpa remained in the reserves retired a LT.Col. he was a cool guy, I loved him so very much, he and Grandma raised me the 1st 12 years of life, I was so fascinated by the little Army magazines in his bathroom, especially the ones with pictures and stories of the helicopters in Vietnam, I was fascinated about any news having to do with Vietnam... although I didn't care for the protesters who said bad things about our people, calling them some really bad names... it was pretty wild from a little kid's perspective the 60's and 70's.
I knew one thing everyone that wore the uniform of the American Serviceman did it because it was the right thing for them to do in their heart and they were going to help people 1/2 way around the world they knew very little or nothing about so they could be free like we were here in this country, that's what Grandpa told me, I believe him, and from what have seen it was true, Communism is not peace, just last week 02/05/2016 was talking to a lady in Amarillo from Laos who is questioning why is America talking to Cuba, and Laos when they are still Communist countries?
I digress.

Welcome Home !
From a little kid who's 55 now, that still looks to the sky when he hears the sound of rotors and knows that's what liberty sounds like! :!cool:
