I was in Detachment B, 18th AOD at Vung Tau from 1964 to 1965. I was a GCA operator for Vung Tau Army Airfield. Our senior NCO was SFC Updegraph.

I love the sites that were set up when the internet was new and maintained in the same way. I was in country from 70-72 in the Army, mostly in Saigon and Vung Tau. Thank you for your site. :D

Graduated with WORWAC 67-11, then assigned to 7/1st Air Cav at Ft. Knox, guns. Served Jan 68 to Jan 69 in Vietnam. Flew with Robinhoods in-country. Infused to B Troop 7/17th Air Cav as lift pilot. Flew firefly missions in Cobra last 3 months. Did a tour in Germany with 32nd AADCOM, then spent 24 years flying Chinooks with Army Reserves, The Hookers, 92nd Avn Co., at Paine Field, Everett WA
