Comments: I inadvertantly came across this site and must say that it is a wonderful find! My father was LTC Raymond R. Benson who was ADA and served two tours in Vietnam, the second as a helicopter pilot. He died in 2009 in a paragliding accident in Indonesia. Although I do have a scrapbook my mother made while he was deployed I came across one of his class pictures from intial pilot training on your site and it is a photo I have never seen before! What a blessing to see him look so happy - he loved the Army and served faithfully for over 20 years. I am a Major in the AF and have 19 years in service this January. I have a great love and respect for all our men and women who have been and still are in harms way serving our country. My heart smiles when I look through the photos of all the guys on here and I thank each and every one of them and thier families for their service. If anyone has any more pictures of my Dad or if they served with him and would like to share a war story or two I would love to hear from them. Thank you for taking the time to develop and maintain this site. I am sure a lot of soldiers and their families have benifited from the information and photographs you have provided. God Bless you! :!clap:
Comments: Looking to contact Rich Neely who served with D-17 CAV 11th CAG and the Four Power Joint Military Commission in 1973. I was Centaur 3 at F Troop 4th CAV and then had the FPJMC detachment at Hue. Rich took a picture of my crashed UH-1H on 29 March 1973.

Comments: My father, Harmon Dow, was Sgt. Major at Ft. Rucker for various tours, beginning in the late 1950s. He had a tour in Vietnam in the late 1960s, was Sgt. Major of one of the units there, & evidently flew as a door gunner in his free time. He died in 1991 - had a tracheotomy due to throat cancer & blamed it on Agent Orange. I have a winged torch flight pin that was among his effects, and a picture of him in Nam, armed to the teeth & standing in front of a copter. Another picture I have is of him pinned down on the beach at the landing in Salerno in 1943 - 70th anniversary coming up on Monday.
