2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne

I was a crew chief with the 101 Airborne Div. 2nd Brigade HHC Aviation Section at LZ Sally. I was there from 11-68 to 1-70. Our unit insignia was originally a “Deuce” with number 2 on a blue and red back ground. Around mid 69 it was changed to “Brandy” a Brandy glass on blue and red background.

Here's Old Zero-Five-Five, the 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne's C&C Huey sitting on the Navy barge complex known as Pistol Pete, which was anchored in the bay ( I wish I could remember its name ) just east of Hue. It was definitely a one-ship LZ, and it always reminded me of landing on an aircraft carrier. Sometime in the latter half on 1968
