I was wounded once in a mortar attack at LZ Brick just south west of Phu Bai', Also the ship I was on in Laos (Feb 8 1971) was shot up pretty good during Lam San 719. In some of the pictures you can see a convoy of trucks on RT. 9 toward Khe Sanh and Tchepone Laos. That is the scarcest I ever was on my tour. I saw a Cobra blown out of the sky with radar 37mm AA fire. I saw gray smoke and the rotor head spin off like a top. I will always remember the high pitch beeps of the radar and our pilots dropping the collective to get on top of the trees or below in some cases.
