"River Rats" were USAF Pilots who flew north of the Mekong river.
|
"Yankee Air Pirate" was a name any good USAF pilot earned proudly in Vietnam. The term was originally coined by a North Vietnamese radio propagandist but was received so well - it turned up on patches, hats, etc. throughout the war.
